Your Golden Hour

The golden hour—the soft light before sunset—symbolizes clarity and reflection. Like therapy, it offers a moment of calm where we can see ourselves more clearly, heal, and find the light within. In these moments, the beauty of insight unfolds, strengthening our connection to ourselves and others.

About

Hello!

I am a licensed professional counselor specializing in multiracial identity, anxiety, and trauma for adults. My approach to healing is cultural, relational, and experiential, tailored to your unique needs. Identity and culture not just considerations in therapy, they are vital in understanding your worldview. I believe healing happens through connection, with ourselves, our communities, and our lived experiences. Beyond traditional talk therapy, I integrate mindfulness, somatic awareness, and creative expression to foster deeper transformation. I also incorporate current research relevant to your concerns, helping you to build language for your emotional experiences and feel more empowered in your healing journey. As a second-generation Filipina American, I am passionate about providing services to marginalized communities. I advocate for immigrant rights, gender-affirming care for LGBTQQIA+ individuals, sex positivity, and neurodivergent equity. My clinical practice recognizes the profound impact of racial, social, and political oppression on mental wellness, especially stress and trauma. In addition to my private practice, I am a Ph.D. candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Kent State University. My dissertation focuses on expanding research on the experiences of multiracial students in higher education. I am deeply committed to training and mentoring the next generation of mental health providers, which fuels my passion for academia. I understand that reaching out for support is a big step, and I honor the courage it takes. I'll work collaboratively with you, and create a warm, affirming space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Together, we can work toward healing, growth, and authenticity. If you're ready, I would love to support you on your journey.
